Cookie Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026. This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies this site uses and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.
A cookie is a small file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies, including local storage and pixel tags, serve comparable purposes. Below we group them by what they are for rather than by name, because third-party cookie names change frequently.
Strictly necessary. These are required for the site to function and are set without consent because the site cannot work without them. They cover security protections and abuse mitigation provided by our content delivery network, Cloudflare, and the basic operation of page delivery. No advertising or analytics purpose is served by them.
Functional. These remember choices you have made, specifically your language preference among English, Italian, German, French and Spanish, and your consent choice so that you are not asked repeatedly. They store a preference, not an identity.
Advertising. This site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies and read identifiers to select ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure whether an ad was effective, and detect invalid traffic. Where you have consented, these may be used to serve ads based on your prior browsing on this and other sites. Where you have not consented, or where consent does not apply, advertising is served on a non-personalised basis, which still requires limited processing for frequency capping, measurement and fraud prevention.
Your test answers are not placed in any cookie and are not shared with advertisers. They remain in the memory of the page while you take the test.
Managing your choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent notice appears before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that notice. Independently of this site, you can opt out of personalised advertising at [Google Ads Settings](https://www.google.com/settings/ads), or through the industry tools at [About Ads](https://www.aboutads.info/choices) and [Your Online Choices](https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/).
Every browser also allows you to block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. Blocking functional cookies means your language choice and your consent choice will not be remembered between visits.
