Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 August 2026. By using PolitiCompass you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Purpose and nature of the service. PolitiCompass provides an educational self-assessment tool and reference material about political ideologies. It is offered for information and education only. It is not psychological assessment, not professional advice of any kind, and not a diagnostic instrument. Results are generated from your own subjective responses to fifteen statements and should be treated as a prompt for reflection rather than as a finding about you.
Accuracy. We take care over factual accuracy and cite our sources, but we do not warrant that the content is complete, current or free from error. Political science is a contested field and reasonable specialists disagree about much of what is described here. Where we present a disputed question we try to say that it is disputed. If you find an error, please tell us.
Acceptable use. You may read, take the test, and link to any page. You may use the material for personal study and in teaching. You may not scrape the site systematically, attempt to disrupt or overload it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or use it to distribute malware or unlawful material.
Intellectual property. The text, structure and original graphics on this site are the work of the site's author and are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Reproducing substantial portions, or republishing the material commercially, requires written permission. Quotations from third-party works are reproduced under fair dealing and remain the property of their respective rights holders. Nothing here grants you rights in third-party trademarks.
Third-party links and advertising. The site links to external sources and carries third-party advertising. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of external sites or advertisers. A link is not an endorsement.
Availability. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, or for any decision you take on the basis of a result it produces. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of your local law.
Changes. We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
